Landguard engineering has been established to provide high quality fabrication and installation of steelwork. With our wide industry knowledge of structural steelwork, offshore works and all types of welding, we are committed to delivering excellence in every project.
Based in Harwich and positioned right next to the docks, we are ideally situated to provide fast, efficient turn around times and streamlined transport to Europe and neighbouring countries.
Operating from an 11,000sq ft workshop, we specialise in the fabrication of mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium. Our focus is on ensuring fast, efficient turnarounds of all products and projects, meeting the highest industry standards.

Alf is an accomplished engineered leader with decades of experience in design, production management and operational strategy, serving as Landguard's general manager since 2013.
Karl Harris
Works Manager
Karl is an experienced welder and fabricator with over 16 years in the industry, serving as Landguard's workshop manager and overseeing daily operations and quality standards.
Kevin Mitchell
Design Engineer
Kevin is a fabrication design engineer with welding experience who brings practical insight to CAD. He turns rough ideas into build ready steelwork as well as sheet-metal designs and is known for his calm and effective problem solving.
John Hardes
Project Manager
John is a dedicated Project Manager and Health and safety advisor who brings broad operational and facility experience to Landguard Engineering.

Design Engineer
Chris is an experienced Design Engineer with a background in CNC programming, structural design and bespoke staging, bringing strong 3D modelling and CFD expertise to Landguard since 2016.

Yvonne is an experienced administrator, offering support to the sales team and maintaining our ISO systems.

Clive Matthams
Design Engineer
Clive is an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a long history in Architectural steelwork and steel structures and more recently bespoke container design.
Taking concept ideas and turning them into production ready designs.
Samuel Prior
Trainee Engineer
Sam is a Trainee Engineer with a MSci in Mathematics and Physics (Honours), working with the design team with a focus on Acoustic CFD modelling.
He supports acoustic assessments and modelling, using his skills in physics and mathematics to help deliver effective noise reduction solutions while developing his practical engineering and technical reporting skills.
