Landguard Engineering is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Etherden as its new Managing Director, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the company.

Peter brings more than 20 years of experience in the acoustic engineering, fabrication and industrial sectors, with a strong track record in business growth, operational excellence, and strategic leadership. His appointment follows Landguard Engineering’s acquisition by the Northern Industries Group, a move that strengthens the company’s position as a UK leader in acoustic attenuation.

Peter Etherden, Managing Director, commented:

“It’s an honour to take on the role of Managing Director at such a defining moment in Landguard’s journey. The company has built a fantastic reputation for its acoustic expertise, and I’m proud to be leading a team with such strong technical capability. With the support of Northern Industries Group, we’re now positioned to take the business to the next level, expanding our reach, investing in innovation and delivering even greater value to our customers across the UK and beyond.”

As part of Northern Industries Group, Landguard Engineering joins a network of leading UK engineering and manufacturing companies, including Steelway, Steelway Brickhouse, Steelway Protect, Steelway Fensecure, CEL Sheet Metal, and JHT Engineering. This collaboration provides the shared strength and expertise needed to deliver integrated, end to end solutions for some of the UK’s most demanding industries.

Paul Sweeting, CEO of Northern Industries Group, added:

“Peter’s appointment brings both trust and experience to the forefront of Landguard’s next phase. There’s nobody better to drive the company forward. His leadership, combined with Landguard’s proven capability, will allow the business to build upon its great success while benefitting from the additional tools, resources and strategic support available within the Northern Industries Group. Together, this sets the stage for accelerated and sustainable growth.”

Under Peter’s leadership, Landguard Engineering will continue to focus on its core strength in acoustic systems, expanding its capabilities in ventilation and steel fabrication to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s energy and infrastructure projects.
